If you’re like me, life gets in the way when you’re trying to keep a consistent blog schedule for your vacation rental. I’ll give you a little help with some post ideas and I’ve also included a template for when to publish your blog post.
Being consistent with your blog posts is important to keep your guests interested in your area.
The subscribers who are truly interested in your vacation destination will be expecting ideas for planning their vacation.
If you aren’t providing the content your guests need to plan their vacation, they will search for it somewhere else. I guarantee it!
Creating informative and useful blog posts will give you credibility with your guests. Whether you realize it or not, they view you as an expert source for your destination.
Blogging about your area isn’t all that difficult.
You’ve purchased a vacation rental there, so you surely have researched the area and visited many times. Just write about what you know.
Allow approximately 1 hour per blog post. That may seem like a lot, but to be successful you’ll need to optimize your post for keywords, organize some photos and write up the content.
Writing your blog posts will get faster the more you do it.
I mentioned gathering photos. Take your camera with you the next time you visit – or your cell phone probably takes awesome pictures, too.
Take photos of restaurants, businesses, landmarks, historical places and scenery from around the area.
You can use those photos in your blog posts and to create cover images for your posts and for social media.
