Knowing how to view your Facebook page as a visitor can be helpful when setting up your vacation rental’s Facebook business page.
It’s SUPER easy to do. And it doesn’t involve logging into Facebook under another account. You can create this view on desktop or on mobile/tablet. I’ll show you both.
Step 1: Log into Facebook and go to your Facebook Business Page.
Step 2: Click on the 3 dots button, located just under your Facebook cover photo.
Step 3: Choose “View as Page Visitor” from the drop down options.
Step 1: Log into Facebook and go to your Facebook Business Page.
Step 2: Click on the “View As” button, located just under the call to action bar.
Yep, that’s it!
I recommend reviewing your vacation rental’s Facebook Page at least every quarter. You may have changed bed sizes, amenities, or other details within your vacation rental and forgot to update that information on your Facebook business page.
As you know, Facebook frequently makes changes. And these changes could affect how your page looks on desktop or on mobile. If you missed my article “Recent Facebook Changes for Vacation Rental Owners” check it out after you finish this article.
In fact, TODAY, when I was gathering information for this article, this notice came up in my “About” section! So, I have some work to do before August 1, 2019!
As you can see from my screen shot, there are several fields in the About section of the Facebook business page that will be removed on August 1, 2019.
An example of how you can use the View as Visitor feature, is when you’re reviewing and making edits to your page layout. You may want to see how the layout looks when the page is viewed live on desktop vs. mobile.
Maybe your tabs would work better in a different order. Make those changes and then view it as a visitor to see if the flow is better.
Or you may be editing the text fields and you want to see how much of the text is visible and how much is hidden until the visitor clicks the “see all” link.
