Lead magnets on your vacation rental website or blog are a great way to boost your email list.
Your email list is one of the most valuable assets in your vacation rental business!
In order for a potential guest to be willing to give up their email address to you, the content of your lead magnet needs to be valuable to them.
A seasonal destination newsletter is an opportunity to get your vacation rental name in front of your audience.
Newsletters work especially well if your destination is one that has an appeal for repeat guests.
Vacationers frequently fall in love with their vacation destination. As a result, they have a big interest in hearing about new things that are happening in the area.
Use your newsletter as lead magnet on your site to get potential guests on your email list. Above all, be sure to follow through on getting a newsletter sent out on a regular basis.
When the kids are happy, momma’s happy!
A PDF activity book that is specific to your destination provides both an educational and entertaining experience for children.
The activity book gets the kids excited about their upcoming trip.
I created a Smoky Mountain Activity Book that has been downloaded multiple times! I frequently get compliments on it and guests have even mentioned it in reviews.
Because my activity book has been so popular, I use it as a lead magnet on our website, it is sent as an automated email when guests have listed a kids count in the reservation, and I also have some printed copies that I leave in the properties.
It’s 48 pages of coloring pages, puzzles, local info, games, scavenger hunts and just a ton of other cool activities that’ll keep the kids busy for a while.
Check it out here and get my newsletter as inspiration for what to include in yours.
Use Puzzle Fast or other online puzzle sites to create customized cross-word, word searches and other puzzles that are specific to your vacation rental or destination. Save the puzzle and incorporate it into a document with some nice graphics or your logo.
As I mentioned above, a guide also works well as a lead magnet.
Put together some information and photos for activities, events, restaurants, shopping, etc. that are specific to your vacation rental guest niche.
Help your guests plan their vacation by developing a checklist they can use before or during their stay.
You’ll want your checklist to be useful, but also generic enough, for it to entice the potential guest to offer their email address in exchange. In other words, don’t make it specific only to your vacation rental property.
Some ideas include:
